Tank Requirements:- Tank Size: 50+ gallons for a group of 5β6.
- Water Parameters:
- Temperature: 82β86Β°F (28β30Β°C)
- pH: 6.0β7.0 (soft, slightly acidic)
- Hardness: 1β4 dGH
- Filtration: Canister filter (e.g.,Β Fluval FX4) + weekly 30% water changes.
- Habitat: Planted tanks with driftwood, subdued lighting, and sandy substrate.
- Staple: High-protein pellets (Hikari Discus Bio-Gold).
- Supplemental: Frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, and beef heart mix 2β3x weekly.
- Avoid Overfeeding: Feed small portions 2β3x daily.
- Ideal Tank Mates: Cardinal tetras, Rams, Corydoras.
- Avoid: Aggressive or fast-moving fish (e.g., Tiger Barbs).
